Police officer molest two 4 years old girls

A police officer who dressed up as a clown and performed for children charged guilty for sexual assault involving two 4 year old girls.
Michael Fernsler, 34, of the 3700 block of Orrstown Road, Franklin County, faces a maximum of 95 years in prison and as much as a $80,000 fine.

Police received a report from a township resident that her two foster children had been molested by a friend of the family. The girls were then taken to Harrisburg Hospital where they were examined. Medical evidence corroborated the girls' stories. When he was arrested, Fernsler admitted molesting the two girls and said he was seeking counseling because he was addicted to pornography.

Fernsler had positioned himself to be near children, authorities said. In a 2004 Patriot-News story, Fernsler said his clown act had landed him invitations from nursing homes, hospitals and day-care centers. Fernsler, who had a form of sex with one of the girls in front of her sister, pleaded guilty to one count each of indecent sexual intercourse, unlawful contact and indecent assault as well as two counts of corruption of a minor.

Fernsler was a North Londonderry Twp. patrolman for almost two years. Before that he was a Baltimore County, Md., police officer for four years. He had also served three years in the Army.

Just another reason to hate cops--then they wonder why............

When he is sent to prison put in with the general population, and do not put him in protective custody. He deserves whatever he gets. This man was supposed to be a trusted man, but he dishonored his trust as police officer, and a human being. This man is a monster.

The thing with Child molesters and other such Low Life's. once the prisoners find out what they did ( Molest Children ) they don't Last very long. The prisoners usually take them out after they find out what they have done... they have children also

It's sad, but unless the cycle of abuse is stopped victims become perpetrators. I wonder who did something to him.
I applaud these little girls for coming forth.
I'm glad he admitted it.Some men would have denied it until the day they died. I hope he can truly get some help while he's serving his time.

just enother reason not to think your child or anyone is safe because you know a sexual offender is living in your community.its a false sence of security.the fact is there are more offenders out there who have never been caught doing these crimes then registered offenders.and just know, people that work with children are the ones you have to watch. after all there are two reasons people work with children one is they truly want to help and teach them and two they are sexually attracted to them.its no coincidence that cops teachers priets councelors boyscout leaders ect... are the one we hear about the most.so to conclude the ones to watch the most are the ones who are around are children the most. live an learn america.

This person has violated the trust and respect of children, co-workers and the public. He should be held without parole b/c they never get better. He should be in the general population in prison and let nature take it's course. Killing this man is to easy. My heart goes out to these 2 little children. I pray they will heal emotionally and physically.

Respect and trust should be earned, not granted simply because someone wears a badge. Sadly, his actions, along with those of others who sometimes hide behind the badge, prejudice the masses against law enforcement as a whole. There are good and bad in every thing. Be angry with the criminal, not the police because he IS NOT a police officer, he's not even a man. He is nothing more than a coward who victimized these little girls and violated the trust that their parents afforded him because he pretended to be a police. He used his badge as he used his clown nose, as a disguise to hide his illness and sick intentions. Unfortunately, in dishonoring himself, he has also dishonored his family as well as every man and woman who serve and protect in earnest everyday. Everyone hates the police, until they need them.

Just as anything else, there will be bad in every group. Cops are human to. Don't let one jerk blur your vision of the upstanding officers that serve our communities every day.

Cops think that they can get away with anything, just cuz they're cops. The system is way too corrupt!

The police need more oversite when crime goes down. They start LOOKING for things to justify their job. That gets dangerous for the public when the ratio of cops is too high for the area. It's called overzealous prosecution. In Cincinnati, they once arrested an old lady for putting quarters in a parking meter that wasn't hers...and they arrested a 12 yr. old foster girl for her "memory" of killing (drowning) a todler brother when she was THREE...yes...three. It was a period of slow crime, I guess. How these case even MAKE it to court is beyond me. It's a complete WASTE of taxpayer money...but they DO it anyway...because they claim it's their JOB. Can't they take an initiative to STOP stupid arrests without fear of reprisals...or are cops getting less intelligent as time goes on?

We just had a very stupid cop in Oakland, CA kill a teen by shooting him in the back while handcuffed. I'll bet he thought it was a taser. Duh. The teen is dead, and we're having riots daily. The whole was video'd on a cellphone. (proof) Thankfully it looks like the DA is going to prosecute...but even that system has dumbed down. He probably will get off premed murder, serve little time...'cause he's a cop.

I thought police were suppose to protect us, but I see even in that line of work we have sick perverted people that don't deserve to live.

WOW!!! I am an active duty military person and I can't believe how officers of the law are getting away with all these crimes, when service members are being prosecuted for actually doing there jobs and eliminating the bad guys overseas. This world is going to hell in a hand basket very quickly. I am very sorry to hear about those babies, I hope they get the help they need.
