Police brutality in Sofia

More than 2,000 people, including students, farmers and green activists had protest in front of Bulgarian parliament against corruption in government.
Protesters demanded from government to solve economic problems and shouted "Resign" and "Mafia".
"We are fed up with living in the poorest and most corrupt country," the protest organizers said.

The police then used excessive force to disperse the protesters.Students, farmers, green activists and older people were brutal beaten and serious hurt as you can see on video.

Apparently the phrase 'protect and serve' doesn't apply to all police forces.

What a horrible demonstration of illegal use of force!

Sometimes police brutality is forced on the police. Systematic police brutality is the real problem as accepted in many countries. It works both ways and yes it is a major problem. However there is more than enough technology today to unmasked this insidious practice and such evidence used to change laws to better defend citizens against police brutality.

ummm...the crowd was getting out of control from what i seen. they used force to stop the crowd from getting out of control. police brutality? how do you know they're farmers, student, and green activists? i dont care who they are. that crowd looks to be out of control and the police officers are doing what they can to regain control.

Had they not taken care of this out of control crowd, headlines would read "police stand by as crowd gets out of control and trample each other."

The crowd seems totally out of control...I dont blame the police for being that agressive. Can you imagine what would have happened to the police if they did nothing!?

Why don't you show how patiently the police stays and waits before these video? How the citizens hurl heavy grids on the policemen.....How patient do you need to be to bear this? And what do the policemen need to do - to stay and watch, and to say: Go, go, boy!!! ??? What? If this was you, what will you do?
